Promotion of Place

Process:
For this project in Typography III, I was asked to research and document a place/venue in the San Luis Obispo area and create an informational and promotional campaign targeted towards tourists and local visitors. I selected Morro Bay and had the opportunity to create all of the content— type/text and imagery— and apply it to various deliverables to provide an engaging and memorable snapshot of Morro Bay.
Through this project, I was able to demonstrate an understanding of typographic and graphic design principles, as well as follow a thorough design process through to completion.
Research, documentation, possibilities for imagery, and concept sketches will be followed by exploration and experimentation with type and color + potential design directions. Design development will include intermittent deadlines for analysis, discussion, and feedback.
